Description
These easy protein bagels are the perfect healthy breakfast or snack. Made with protein powder and Greek yogurt, they are packed with protein while being simple to make.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 scoop protein powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/4 cup water (optional)
1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine flour, protein powder, and baking powder.
3. Add Greek yogurt and mix until the dough is smooth.
4. Divide dough into 4-6 equal portions and roll each into a ball. Form a hole in the center to shape the bagels.
5. Boil water in a pot and carefully drop the bagels into the water. Boil for 2-3 minutes.
6. Place the bagels on a baking tray and brush with egg wash.
7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, substitute the regular flour with a gluten-free flour blend.
These bagels can be air-fried at 375°F for 10-12 minutes for a quicker version.
